The six tracks

Funk carioca · Urban pop · 3:42
Paris dans la voix
This is the story of a girl who flies to Rio alone after getting dumped…
A Parisian lands in Rio with her habits, her accent, her bearings — then the city slowly changes the rhythm. Nights at Pedra do Sal, new words settling in (“caraca”, “partiu”, “qual foi”), the body moving before the mind. The chorus became the project's signature.

Baile funk · Raggamuffin · 4:24
Qual foi
This is the story of a girl who swore she was done with toxic relationships…
First kiss: boyfriend. Second: in love. Third: marriage. A plastic ring, burger and fries in the rain… then the questions about Paris, the visa, the money. A biting track about smooth talkers who promise everything — and don't even show up to say goodbye at the airport.

Baile funk · Tamborzão · 3:50
Rocinha, quatro e meia
This is the story of a girl who goes to her first baile funk in Rocinha…
1 a.m., still composed. 2 a.m., uninhibited. 3 a.m., soaked hair. 4:30: the body has taken over. CARIOQUESE's most club-ready track, with saturated bass and a hook made to be shouted together.

Funk · Forró · 3:01
Coração sem vibração
This is the story of a girl who goes to Rio to get over a Brazilian guy…
First forró. Rafael, Matheus, Lucas, Pedro… then Chico, Ronaldo, Caio, João. Names roll by like dance steps, but the heart stays silent. A fast, funny track with a twist at the very end: in every one of them, she was looking for a bit of the one she left behind.

Raggamuffin · Baile funk · 3:32
Capricha, gostoso
This is the story of a girl who ends up in a Brazilian soap opera written under the influence of caipirinhas.
“Try harder, handsome.” She leads the dance and the desire: looks aren't enough, you have to take your time. A fast ragga flow, a slow hypnotic chorus, and a male voice who finally gets the message.

Samba · Baile funk · 4:23
Tanto mais
This is the story of a girl who drives 600 km for a guy who'd “rather stop here”…
600 km to see him, and an “I'd rather we stop here.” He thought she'd feel less, far from him. She feels tanto mais — all the more. When he finally texts from Paris, she's the one who's stopped waiting. The project's most intimate track, carried by a samba batucada.
